Salting Out Density Column Experiment (Chemistry)
Using water, isopropyl rubbing alcohol, oil, salt, and food coloring you can create a three-layer density column that can be mixed and will repeatedly separate into three distinct layers. One key to this experiment is a process called salting out and it is basically using salt to outcompete for the intermolecular attractions of water.
▶️ Get supplies to try the salting-out density column experiment:
www.beardedscienceguy.com/how-to-make-salting-out-density-column
▶️ How to do the salting-out experiment:
Step 1: Add water to the container and stir in some food coloring.
Step 2: Add a layer of oil. I used vegetable oil,.
Step 3: Add a top layer of isopropyl alcohol, and stir in a different color ...

Hot vs Cold Experiment with a Twist (Chemistry)
Просмотров 10 тыс.3 года назад
In this Hot vs Cold experiment, we use oil and water to change the typical outcome (see the original hot vs cold water experiment here: ruclips.net/video/H0xB15fNzHc/видео.html). Even though the oil is colder than the water it stays on top due to the lower density. Using the thermal camera we can see how the temperature doesn't determine which one has a higher density when you are using two dif...
Magic Milk Experiment Using Food Coloring, Dish Soap, and Milk (Chemistry)
Просмотров 53 тыс.4 года назад
With this experiment, food coloring creates amazing designs on the surface of milk using only dish soap. This experiment, known as magic milk, is a visual representation of some pretty complex chemistry and results in fun, exploding colors. The interaction between the molecules within the milk, food coloring, and soap creates colorful designs that are sure to pique your curiosity. This cool exp...

Fastest Way to Chill a Drink (Thermal Camera Edition)
Просмотров 7 тыс.5 лет назад
In this video, we use a thermal camera to examine the fastest way to cool down a drink. We compare a wet paper towel in a freezer to salty ice water and spinning the drink on ice. I was really surprised how much faster the Coke cooled off from spinning than any of the other methods. Let me know if you have tried this fun science experiment and how your results compare. 📷➡️ Get your own SEEK The...

An idea for another reel. Can't find a video how oil and spirit interact depends on temperature, strong/weak spirit., salting etc. The idea is to split alcohol and oil without distillation (to prevent damage of the oil)

I didn't know this had a name! Me and my bf accidentally made oobleck as we were trying to make boba with tapioca starch, water and sugar lol. It was a fun discovery but salvaging the dough was stressful because I didn't know what to do with it. We ended up fixing the problem but never knew how till I looked up how this was made :3

Not fake, but there are several areas that could cause issues. Was the coil of wire warm to hot when hooked up? Did anything move at all? What type of magnets did you use? Was your input wire amplified or not?
